Every track fits the environment and different worlds perfectly. In terms of soundtracks, Rayman is in my top 10 of all time. I want to personally pay my respects to the music composers in this game. This makes that, even today, the game looks like a modern Indie game and is perfectly playable and controls just as well. The same goes for the controls, they are spot on and feel very natural. The graphics are sweet and colourful, and the animations are smooth. Dark tries to take over the world and is imprisoning every magical creature in Rayman’s homeland and our hero Rayman must stop him and save all his little buddies. Story wise, Rayman is a classic fairy tale. Right from the start, I was addicted to its colourful graphics, the nice music, and the jolly animations in the background from different objects and fauna. My uncle had a nice Windows 95 pc and bought this game so I could play it in his home. My journey in the world of gaming, all started with this gem of a game. Most nostalgic and memorable game from my youth. This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This game requires as much skill as it does patience, and it will never be appreciated by the COD generation and onwards. I still remember when me and my friend stayed up all night when we were 13 (we had been playing the game for 5 years prior to that) and we finally beat the game! That was amazing! I would recommend this to anyone who comes form a generation before last gen. But I have had some great time back i my childhood with great friends playing through this game. The music, the scenes, the pacing, it's all just right, however I'll admit that I am biased by nostalgia also. I had this gem on Playstation (the definitive version IMO, a rare case that the console version wasc actually better than the PC version). It is colourful and appealing to the eye while maintaining razor sharp controls and presenting quite a platforming challenge.
